About this event
Make a garment from a Merchant and Mills sewing pattern in day with help from professional seamstress and dressmaking tutor Anna Vickery.
Learn as you go, everything from measuring, laying out and cutting to constructing, altering and finishing your garment. Suitable for beginner and progressing dressmakers, please be confident using your sewing machine.
Choose a Merchant and Mills pattern and bring your own fabric, notions, sewing machine and tools (Anna can be contacted with any questions)
Patterns are available in the shop with 10% discount
Work at your own pace in a small group and let Anna guide you through the process with lots of helpful tips and advice along the way.
(*If you want to finish your garment we suggest choosing a beginner/intermediate pattern, such as The Camber Set, The Trapeze, The Hattie and Ellis or The 101 Trousers, but all are available, www.milliemoonshop.co.uk)

- You must be able to use a sewing machine (wind bobbin, thread machine & sew a straight line)
- Machines and equipment available to use but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please arrive 15 minutes before to set up own machine.

- The shop will be closed to customers for the event so you will have space and a quiet but creative atmosphere to work within. You will be able to purchase on the day of the workshop with a 10% discount in store.
Cancellation of workshops, parties and 1-1 sessions
Full payment is required prior to a workshop commencing. If you find yourself unable to attend your booking and it’s more than 14 days in advance, we can offer a full refund or you can transfer to a future workshop free of charge. If cancellation is within 14 days of your workshop unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund, due to tutor bookings and materials prepared. You are welcome to send someone else in your place, just let us know the change of name. These rules equally apply to gift voucher bookings, parties and 1-1 bookings.
A full refund will be given if your workshop is cancelled by Millie Moon for any reason, or you can elect to attend an alternative workshop instead, space permitting. Where we can a minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation will be given. Please note the we cannot always provide notice if there is illness with tutors. All our tutors are self-employed and we do not have replacements available. We will NOT be liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur, If you need to arrange travel or overnight accommodation, we recommend that you seek appropriate insurance.
