Spring is on its way! March news …
Hello everyone,
Moving into March and spring is just around the corner! The Frome Independant Market is back on Sunday 1st March. First one of the year, and we will be open 11-3pm. We will also have our pattern swap box out for the weekend so pop in, just put one in and take one out! We are getting new patterns in the box all the time. These can be vintage, part used, magazines, books and brand new patterns.
We have some lovely new fabrics arriving, including denims, Ramie and Tencel twill pictured below . Lovely weights to see you through the cooler spring temperatures. These are perfect for the new Style Arc patterns we have in stock too!
Also, some lovely bright cotton prints from Kaffe Fassett, Ruby Star,Tula pink and Dear Stella. New Indian cottons are on order ready for those summer makes too.
So much colour and joy everywhere.

New Kimono Workshop with Justine
Justine is back with a full summer listing of workshops. Including this new short Kimono workshop. If you have always wanted to make your very own kimono, this workshop is for you.Workshop available for anyone who knows how to use a sewing machine, has some good sewing basics & has made some clothes before. This kimono is unlined, has an under arm opening and long open sleeves.

10th may sees the return of Annas MERCHANT AND MILLS DAY
As well as her 6 week garment making course in April, Anna is back with her ‘Make a garment from a Merchant and Mills sewing pattern in day’
Learn as you go, everything from measuring, laying out and cutting to constructing, altering and finishing your garment. Suitable for beginner and progressing dressmakers, please be confident using your sewing machine.Choose a Merchant and Mills pattern and bring your own fabric, notions, sewing machine and tools (Anna can be contacted with any questions)
Patterns are available in the shop with 10% discount

Kids Sewing Club
Join Claire for this fun hand sewing club aimed at children 7 years old and up. There’s a new project each time so you can just come once or come regularly. All the materials are provided along with refreshments.

Join Kelly for this machine sewing club aimed at children 9 years old and up. There’s a new project each time so you can just come once or come regularly. Refreshments provide but materials are not provided

Teen Dressmaking Club
This club is perfect for that budding fashion designer or someone needing a skill for their DofE. Anna will assist teens aged 11yrs and up with a sewing project of their choice. To attend you must have basic sewing machine skills.

Local illustrator Jo Joof kids art club is the third Monday 4.30-6.30pm
